These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website realtimecv.com and all related services, tools, and software (the "Service") operated by RealtimeCV ("RealtimeCV", "we", "us", or "our").
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
If you are a resident of the European Union, please note that nothing in these Terms restricts any rights you have under EU consumer protection law, including the Consumer Rights Directive. Where these Terms conflict with mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction, those laws prevail.
RealtimeCV provides the following products and services:
Resume Builder (core product): An online platform where you input your information in real time to create, edit, store, format, download, and share professional resumes and CVs.
Custom Resume Design: A professional service where our designers create a bespoke resume layout and design tailored to your specifications.
Resume Writing Service: A professional service where our writers craft your resume content based on your career history and goals.
LinkedIn Profile Writing Service: A professional service where our writers create or optimise your LinkedIn profile content.
Cover Letter Writing Service: A professional service where our writers create tailored cover letters for your job applications.
The Resume Builder is the core product available on a free or paid subscription basis. Custom Resume Design, Resume Writing, LinkedIn Profile Writing, and Cover Letter Writing are one off professional services available for separate purchase (collectively, "Professional Services").
From time to time we may make beta, trial, or preview features available. These are provided "as is" without warranty, may be changed or withdrawn at any time, and do not form part of the core Service.
You must be at least 16 years of age (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, if higher) to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate and complete.
You represent that you are not located in, under the control of, or a national or resident of any country or entity subject to UK, US, EU, or UN trade sanctions. You may not access the Service if such use would violate applicable export control or sanctions laws.
To use the Service, you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
You agree to notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access to your account. We are not liable for losses resulting from unauthorised use of your account where you have failed to maintain the security of your credentials.
Each account is for a single individual. You may not share your account credentials with others, allow multiple people to use a single account, or create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits or access restrictions.
You agree to provide accurate and complete registration information and to update it promptly when it changes. If we have reasonable grounds to believe your information is inaccurate or incomplete, we may suspend or terminate your account.
The free plan provides access to the Resume Builder with the following limitations:
Feature availability and specific limits on the free plan may change over time. We will notify free users of material reductions to feature availability.
The paid subscription unlocks the full Resume Builder feature set:
Paid subscribers have access to the full template library, which includes all templates available at the time of subscription plus any new templates added in the future. Free users have access to a limited selection. We may add, update, or retire templates at any time.
Template designs are licensed to you for personal use in creating your resumes and may not be extracted, redistributed, resold, or used independently of the Service.
Current pricing is displayed on our pricing page. We reserve the right to change pricing at any time. Price changes will not affect your current billing cycle. We will notify you at least 30 days before any price increase takes effect on your renewal.
Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, as selected at the time of purchase). Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period at the then current price unless you cancel before the renewal date.
All payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's terms of service. We do not store your full payment card details on our servers.
You must provide accurate payment information and keep it up to date. Failure to do so may result in failed payments and the consequences described in Section 5.4.
Your billing date resets to the actual date each payment is successfully processed. For example, if your original billing date was the 1st of the month but a retry succeeds on the 5th, your new billing date becomes the 5th.
If a payment fails, the following sequence applies:
First failure: You will see a red warning banner in the Service. All Pro features remain accessible. You should update your payment method promptly.
Second failure: Your Pro features will be locked. You retain access to your data and free plan features. You can restore Pro access by updating your payment method and completing a successful payment.
Third failure: Your subscription will be cancelled automatically. Data retention rules in Section 7 apply.
We will send email notifications at each stage.
Prices displayed may be exclusive of applicable taxes (VAT, sales tax, or other local taxes). Where required by law, applicable taxes will be calculated and added at checkout. You are responsible for paying any taxes associated with your purchases.
Due to the digital nature of the Service, we generally do not offer refunds once a billing period has started. However:
Refunds for Professional Services are addressed in Section 6.
We offer the following Professional Services as one off purchases, separate from your subscription:
When you purchase a Professional Service, you will be asked to provide relevant information, materials, and preferences. The quality and accuracy of the deliverable depends on the completeness and accuracy of the information you provide.
We aim to deliver Professional Services within the timeframe stated at the point of purchase. Delivery timelines are estimates and not guaranteed deadlines. We will communicate with you if a delay is expected.
Professional Services include a defined number of revisions as stated on the product page at the time of purchase. Revision requests must be submitted within 14 days of delivery. Requests beyond the included revision count may be subject to additional charges.
If we fail to deliver your Professional Service within 10 business days of the stated delivery estimate, you may request a full refund. Refunds for dissatisfaction with quality are assessed on a case by case basis; contact [email protected].
All content created through Professional Services belongs to you. We retain no rights to use, reproduce, or distribute the specific deliverables created for you, except as necessary to provide the service (for example, storing your resume in your account).
You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain full Pro access until that date.
90 day access window: Your resumes and data remain accessible in read only mode for 90 days. During this period, you can resubscribe and regain full access, or export/download your data.
180 day soft delete: After 90 days, your data enters a soft delete state for 180 days. It is not accessible to you, but can be recovered if you contact [email protected] during this window.
Permanent deletion: After 270 days total from cancellation (90 + 180), your data is permanently and irreversibly deleted from our systems and backups.
You may request full account deletion at any time by emailing [email protected] or through your account settings. Upon request, your account and all associated data will be deleted within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements (such as tax records).
If you made any content publicly available (via public profile or shared links), and that content was accessed, cached, or copied by third parties or search engines before deletion, we have no control over those copies and cannot delete them from external systems.
You retain full ownership of all content you create, upload, or input into the Service ("Your Content"), including resumes, cover letters, and any deliverables from Professional Services. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over Your Content.
By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non exclusive, worldwide licence to store, process, display, and transmit Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. This licence is not transferable, not sublicensable (except to our data processors as necessary to operate the Service), and terminates when your data is deleted from our systems.
This means: We use your data to show you your resume, generate PDFs, display your public profile if you enable one, and process AI suggestions when you request them. That is all.
When you use AI powered features, relevant portions of Your Content are processed by our AI provider to generate suggestions. We do not use Your Content to train AI models. Our AI provider does not retain your data beyond the immediate request. See our Privacy Policy Section 5 for full details.
If you enable a public profile, your chosen resume content will be publicly accessible via a unique URL. You can disable your public profile at any time, and the content will no longer be served by us. Cached versions held by search engines or third parties are outside our control.
You are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and legality of Your Content. Do not include false, misleading, or fraudulent information in your resumes. We do not verify any claims made in Your Content and do not act as an agent between you and any potential employer.
If you voluntarily provide feedback, suggestions, ideas, or testimonials about the Service, you grant us the right to use them for improving and promoting the Service without obligation or compensation to you. We will obtain your consent before publishing any testimonial that identifies you by name.

Violation of these terms may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund.
The Service, including its design, source code, templates, graphics, logos, icons, and text (excluding Your Content), is owned by RealtimeCV and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
RealtimeCV and the RealtimeCV logo are trademarks of RealtimeCV. You may not use our trademarks without prior written permission.
We grant you a limited, non exclusive, non transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for your personal, non commercial resume building purposes. This licence does not include the right to:
We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, contact [email protected] with: identification of the copyrighted work, identification of the infringing material, your contact information, and a statement of good faith belief. We will investigate and respond in accordance with applicable law.
The Service integrates with third party services including Stripe (payments), cloud hosting providers, and AI processing providers. Your use of Stripe is subject to Stripe's own terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third party services.
If we offer social login (such as Google sign in), your use of those login services is subject to the respective provider's terms and privacy policies. We receive only the data described in our Privacy Policy.
RealtimeCV is a resume building tool and professional services provider. We do not act as an employment agency, recruiter, staffing company, or agent between you and any employer. We do not screen, evaluate, or verify resumes for suitability. We make no representations about your employability, and the use of our Service or Professional Services does not guarantee interviews, job offers, or employment of any kind.
We aim to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error free operation. We may perform scheduled maintenance with reasonable advance notice where possible.
We may modify, update, add, or remove features of the Service at any time. If we discontinue a feature that materially reduces the value of the paid subscription for existing subscribers, we will provide at least 30 days' notice. New templates and features may be added at any time.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes:
Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service and may cancel your subscription. Minor corrections (typographical fixes, updated links) that do not affect your rights may be made without prior notice.
If any change to these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, that specific change will be considered separately and will not affect the validity of the remaining Terms.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON INFRINGEMENT.
We do not guarantee that:
You acknowledge that AI generated content should be reviewed by you for accuracy before use. We are not responsible for outcomes resulting from inaccurate or misleading content in your resume, whether AI generated or manually entered.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total liability of RealtimeCV for any and all claims arising from or relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) £100 (GBP).
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RealtimeCV, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Before initiating formal proceedings, you agree to contact us at [email protected] and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
If you are a consumer in the UK, nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
If you are a consumer in the EU, nothing in these Terms affects your rights under the EU Consumer Rights Directive, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence. You may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
If you are a consumer in the US, your state consumer protection laws may provide additional rights. Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive rights that cannot be waived under your state's laws.
You may close your account at any time by contacting [email protected] or through your account settings. Data retention rules in Section 7 apply.
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately and without notice if:
If we terminate your account without cause, we will refund any prepaid subscription fees on a pro rata basis. If terminated for breach, no refund is provided.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. The following sections survive termination: 8.1 (Content Ownership), 10 (Intellectual Property), 14 (Disclaimers), 15 (Limitation of Liability), 16 (Indemnification), 17 (Dispute Resolution).
By creating an account, you consent to receive communications from us electronically, including by email and notices posted within the Service. You agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures, and other communications we provide electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and RealtimeCV regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, provided the assignee agrees to honour these Terms.
We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform resulting from causes outside our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, pandemics, strikes, government actions, internet or infrastructure failures, or third party service outages.
These Terms are drafted in English. If translated into another language, the English version prevails in case of conflict.
Nothing in these Terms creates any partnership, joint venture, employment, or agency relationship between you and RealtimeCV.
